[ Discussion ] Avoiding Scams from Digital Marketers

First of all, thank you all for the te comments with data insights, suggestions, and feedback.

-

And a few harsh criticisms, which was expected. This is the first initiative by anyone for tackling one of the significant issues in the industry.

-

To summarise what I understood:

-

1) This can’t be maintained by me alone, and even its being reviewed by the community, we need to have a team of authoritative people who can see from both aspects — the trainers and the course joinees.

-

2) We need a clear and proper set of parameters defined for trust score allocation.

-

3) To avoid words such as ‘Scam’ and ‘Blacklisted Marketers,’ to prevent any legal issues and hurt anyone’s sentiments.

-

4) The excel documents seem very generic and not a trustworthy document itself. We need to have a dedicated website/app with a proper flow for such a reviewing process and mangement of the data sets of marketers.

Due to the above reasons, I’m delaying this idea further until I find people who can support this cause along with me.

As many of you know, I run a startup DM agency named ‘Go Lead Digital.’

-

Where my primary focus always has been.

-

I try to start a discussion or write a lengthy piece of content for Facebook groups only when its feels right and necessary.

-

Many marketers connect with me for discussing various topics from depression, industry competitiveness, career etc.

-

And if I feel a specific topic needs to be highlighted at the moment, then I try my best to answer it with different aspects to avoid any open-ended queries.

-

Again, this was just a small initiative and intended not to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

-

Meanwhile, I urge all marketers don’t ever feel afraid to speak your mind and share your experience with a course.

-

It’ll help others to make their choices about it too.

Note: Request you to make sure you always have a data backup and evidence to your claims about the course to avoid any defamation case.
